Good.. cute..

fantastic pixel art.. and catchy retro style music.. keep it up!

hmm, good idea, but...

Why no color? I mean, there's simplicity and then there's bland. This is bland. Like at least give the ball and those little spikey things a different color. And then there's the animation in the background -- it was distracting.. and when you spin the level left or right, all those bright vibrating lines just mess with your eyes. So, to improve it, I suggest removing that animated background (or just make it static?), consistent with the clean, minimalist approach that you're going for, but then add some color to make it look more fun and help the player differentiate the various game elements.

It took too long for it to get challenging... the first few levels were either really too easy or you would just get lucky, not much skill involved... and then it quickly got irritating, where the physics of the ball and the nature of the magnets seemed glitchy. Like, in one level, I was getting some weird back-spin on the ball when clicking and releasing on the magnet. Also, there's that delay in spinning/rotating the map which seems unnecessary -- you should be able to reverse the rotation mid-spin I think.

I like the rotating concept, reminds me of those little handheld games where you have to get the ball through the maze by rotating it... the magnet-ball aspect is also a good idea, but I think poorly executed. Actually, I'm sure it's all very playable and challenging, but the graphics and sound effects discourage me from continuing. Keep it up though, you're on to something.

Really Good

I beat the whole thing including the bonus chapter... that last level took me foreevvvvvvverrrrrr... for people getting stuck on the gentle push: you have to spew out and knock the fruits over.

Great job

very well done... but as with alot of flash games, this one ran a little sluggish, I guess that's my only complaint.

That and also, the bug (assuming it is a bug) where after you beat apollo nothing happens. Seems others have experienced this too. Probably should fix that up.

excellent game idea, just too slow

First of all, AWESOME game idea, and kudos for making this. The creature is really cute and you really feel like you want to help it survive. =)

However, I'm playing it on a 1.5 ghz p4 computer and its a pretty choppy...

You know what though... I've seen these elastic physics-based creatures before and they played really smoothly... I think the reason is beacause, in those ones, there are no backgrounds and if there was one it wouldnt pan around, which is whats probably making this game really slow.

So I would suggest two fixes:

1. Convert this SWF into a hardware accelerated (DirectX) game. I think there is a good converter out there that can do that.

2. OR... Keep in in Flash, but instead of panning the background, just have screen-to-screen transitions. I know this would be tricky in this case because theres 3 feet to control/ move around, but it would definitely fix the lag/choppiness if you could find a way to do it this way.

super terrific excellent

Great job, A+'s all around...

Except in two areas:

1.) As mentioned, the control setup is not comfortable. It would have worked fine with keyboard-only or with WASD + mouse.

2.) The puzzles are good, but some extras clues would be better. (for a simple example, with the gun in the case... if you try to press shift without the key, there should be the sound of trying to open a locked door or something visual, like text, saying, "it's locked.")

Everything else is awesome! :)

great addition to the genre

clever idea...

as mentioned, this would make a good DS game!

but I have to say... LEVEL 13 IS TOO HARD. which is too bad because i wanted to see what was next.

there should be a level-password.

"It's because you're using a Mac"

sorry, but you can't really expect an amateur game developer to be able to test his game on every possible flash-playing platform. the best you can do is point out that it doesnt work on your mac and hope that he can fix it (but then again how, if he doesnt have a mac?)... or better yet, just get a pc/windows computer and you wont have these compatibility problems. actually, it's really the fault of the flash compiler not making WYSIWYG work the same on mac and pc. so write a letter to adobe/macromedia complaining about it and maybe they'll fix it in the next flash release.

anyway...

about the game, it's well done, I like the scrolling of the different backrounds and the overall performance is good... controls work perfectly, except for not being able to shoot straight down, as mentioned. The art style is good too. sfx are a little odd but overall suitable. Good variety of enemies. A fair selection of weapons. Not bad at all.

Good, but too easy!

PROS:

- Good graphics
- Good idea

CONS:

- Way too easy
- Only one weapon

SUGGESTIONS:

- Make the tanks a little faster and have them shoot sooner
- Ditto for the planes
- Make the little soldiers lob their grenades sooner and right away when they get next to the bunker
- Balance out this increased difficulty with at least one more weapon, preferably a rocket launcher or something like that
- Also get rid of that strange ticking sounds when you hit the soldiers

well done

put together really well, text is fun to read, ...mini-games at its best i would say.

the turtle shield game was a little long though, considering it wasnt that hard... could be half that length.... either that or make it harder.
