Last level...

...was fun and challenging. A turbo button would be a nice addition! You know, like have parts where you have to turbo to make it over a pit or something. The whole changing the colors thing... hmmm kinda slows things down in a way, but makes it more interactive... like that level where you could pick the path.

Also, a vertical boost button would be cool too... like an anti grav or reverse grav thing... where you could go on the ceilings. Keep at it!

Oh and a very big crit: not enough sound effects!!! I'd like to be able to hear the bike rev up and the sound of the tires hitting the ground when it lands from a big jump... or crowds cheering everytime you do a successful back-flip.... then I'd have given a 10 for sure, although it was short (I don't mind that so much cuz it has replay value with the times).

Awww... makes me a little sad.

Interesting to see a game like this which made me feel something, and all I did was click through some different choices... The glitch effect was eerie. And the music made it more sad T_T Arggg, wish it wasn't so sad lol.. even though I know it's good that he manages to make a clean break (in the two endings I had) and move on with his life and be happy. I guess she was too immature for him?? Ah, well...

got stuck on lvl 13 :[

Love to see those pixels flying around... and yes, it is very soothing :)

FANTASTIC!

Excellent game, all around! Nice graphics, sounds, and solid coding.

I wish there was a way to keep the mouse in the screen though :/ Sucks when it goes out accidentally and you lose control of the ship. I know there's not much that can be done about that though.

A little easy I guess, but still hella fun.

Good game, not too long and reasonably fun...

...but there was no real penalty for hitting one of the animals... you'd lose the string but you could always quickly put a line underneath to save the cat.. and you could just keep trying over and over and there was no penalty.. which is both a good and a bad thing. But overall, fun... although the mechanics took a while to figure out... my favourite part was drawing the safety lines cuz it was the most definite action visually... click two points, boom, you get a line... the dragging on the other handy felt 'mushy' and laggy.... Geat game, great idea, thumbs up, but could use some refinement and variation in the next one :D

It's simple and it works...

I like the style of the graphics, although simple, it get's the point across without much frills. The animation and realistic proportions of the player is a nice change from the usual chibi characters of most platformers... and the invisible concept is good... the is some slight hit-detection issues where he gets hung up trying to jump onto a ledge... mmm, other than that, my only complaint is that a couple more lives would be good, either that or no lives, cuz it doesn't hold my interest enough to play through again... which brings me to my last point, it's a little too simple.

So to improve it, make infinite lives, and fix up the hit-detection (just a minor problem with that, overall it works)... and perhaps add some more variety in the visuals, cuz it's a little plain.

Hmmm...

Very strange, kinda rushed graphics, and controls were just odd, but I give you 6 for effort.

Good, but not hard enough...

I kept playing, thinking it would get harder, but it never did. I think one simple way to make this harder would be that the highest level tank should be impossible to destroy with the sniper rifle. The only way to destroy it would be with the mortars, artillery, airstrikes, the big bomb, and of course, the turrets and cannons at the end. Then make the 2nd highest tank be twice as hard as it currently is. Also, increase the number of soldiers coming through so that it becomes almost impossible to pick them all off with the rifle. I played through the whole campaign and pretty much the whole time my aim was hugging the left side of the screen, just picking off everything that came through... only 3 times did it ever seem like it was getting outta of control and they were bunching up at the front of the base, but even then, there was no sense of worry or panic that my base wouldn't hold up. The base health never went down below 75% the whole game. Maybe another way to make it harder would be to make the sniper rifle upgrade take a little more EXP to upgrade. Still, very fun game for me, just hoping it would've gotten a little more frantic. I really did feel "godlike" with my rifle... and that probably means it's too easy.

Top Marks!

Awesome!

I have a question. Can I used the songs made with this in my own game? Are there any restrictions on that?

Evil-Dog responds:

Hmm not really, I would only suggest you wait until I finish the Mp3 converter so you can get a great quality version of your songs

It's okay, decent effort, but...

I like the music, I like the comic-book style story-telling and drawings... and it's nice to see an overhead zombie game where the camera is not directly top-down and you can see your character. The girl who came in to help was neat.

Bad things: the sound effects on the gun are horrible, I'm sorry, but I have to be honest, they sound wimpy.. and considering how good the music is, and the fact that the basic game mechanic that you repeat is shooting, that should be the BEST part. Also, the blood effects should be more obvious, cuz you hardly feel as though you're hitting the target. I know they're zombies, but if they don't recoil a little at least make the blood more obvious. Another thing, there doesn't appear to be a reload function??? That's odd. Lastly, the game seems to lag quite a bit. I have a pretty good system and I've played other games like this, that didn't lag as much.

One more thing, I stopped playing at the part where it said 'you need an explosive to open the gate' or something cuz I dropped 5 grenades on it and nothing happened... that makes no sense. I don't care if there is some special explosive I gotta search for, why don't the nades work?

Don't be discouraged though... this just needs to be overhauled for a sequel maybe, but at least you've got the fundamentals down.
